Company culture
Our vision, 'We go further to make dreams come true', and our company values underpin everything we do. The values set out how we want all employees to approach their work.
Listening to our employees
By listening to our employees' views and encouraging their input into our decision-making, we build a stronger business with a satisfied workforce.
Rewarding performance
By rewarding excellence among our employees, we retain the best and build a stronger company. We offer competitive pay and benefits packages including Sharesave, our international employee share plan introduced in 2010.
Training and career development
In 2010, we invested over £12 million in training our employees. The training and career development options available to those who work in Thomas Cook Group help to ensure that talented individuals can go far with us.
Diversity
Having a diverse workforce benefits our business and all our employees have the right to work without fear of discrimination. We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment and we have initiatives in place to support diversity in our companies.
Employee health and safety
The locations that our employees work in, including on aeroplanes and in resorts, can present hazards. Our responsibility is to keep our employees as safe as possible. It is fundamental that, in addition to complying with health and safety legislation wherever we operate, we continually work to raise safety standards.
Engaging with our employees on sustainability
We deepen our employees' understanding of sustainability topics through training, intranets and other channels. This supports them to consider sustainability issues in their day-to-day work, thus improving our sustainability performance and helping to raise awareness among customers and other stakeholders.
