  • Include sustainability information in all Group customer websites.

  • 75% of retail stores to complete Travelife training module.

  • Further increase our Employee Engagement Index score.
  • Increase international uptake of our Sharesave scheme to over 10% of eligible employees.
  • Implement a Group-wide framework of leadership behaviours for our most senior employees, based on our values and increase training and development levels across the Group.
  • Embed consistent succession planning processes across the Group to help ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders.

  • Incorporate sustainability into the business objectives of key overseas employees.

  • 51% of mainstream customers to be staying in accommodation audited against Travelife criteria by the end of 2010/11.
  • Each Hi! Hotel to achieve at least a bronze Travelife award.
  • Travelife to be mentioned within contracts as a recommended sustainability management system for all relevant suppliers.
  • Train the procurement team in responsible purchasing.
  • A further 9% of excursions showcasing animals to be audited, bringing the total to date to 25%.

Northern Europe

  • Promote Travelife to key suppliers, based on volume.
  • Calculate Sunwing Resorts' carbon footprint.
  • Implement in-room waste sorting at Sunwing Resort Alcudia.
  • Increase the number of Travelife awards held by Sunwing to 30.

Belgium

  • Incorporate sustainability criteria into purchasing processes.

Environment

  • Establish baseline data for Group energy use.

Waste

  • Implement recycling programmes within all corporate offices.
  • All business segments to measure and report on their waste.

Water

  • Reduce water consumption per guest night in Group owned or controlled hotels by 2%.

Other

  • All business segments to measure and report on business mileage travelled by car.

Group Airlines

  • Reduce absolute CO2 emissions by 0.5%, excluding the impact of fleet replacement.
  • Engage with all airports where we have aircraft based, to implement recycling of in-flight waste.

UK

Energy

  • Install smart meters across the retail network, enabling an accurate baseline figure to be established for energy use in stores.
  • Reduce energy use in corporate offices by 4%.

Northern Europe

Other

  • Reduce consumption of office paper to under 4.65 reams per employee.

Communities

Thomas Cook Group

  • Develop a Group policy on child protection.
  • Each business segment to develop a strategy for engagement with charities in home communities.

UK

  • Raise £1,200,000 for the Thomas Cook Children's Charity.
  • Raise £250,000 for the Travel Foundation.
  • Measure and record all corporate giving, both cash and in kind.
  • Hold a formal stakeholder engagement meeting to address community and environmental topics.

Germany

  • Support a further three projects in destination communities.
